Pantallas fuera: 5 actividades creativas para una tarde de lluvia en familia// Screens Off: 5 Creative Activities for a Rainy Family Afternoon

Sabemos que es tentador poner una película cuando el tiempo no acompaña, pero hay algo mágico en ver a un niño concentrado, con las manos manchadas de colores y la lengua fuera por el esfuerzo.

En El Estudiante creemos que la creatividad es un músculo que hay que entrenar. Aquí tienes 5 ideas para convertir tu salón en un taller artístico con materiales muy sencillos.

1. El "Cuento Infinito"

• Material: Una cartulina grande o varios folios pegados.

• La actividad: Empieza dibujando un personaje en un extremo. Tu hijo debe dibujar qué le pasa después, y así sucesivamente. Al final del día, tendréis un mural con una historia creada por todos.

2. Piedras que cuentan historias

• Material: Piedras lisas (o cartones recortados en círculo), témperas o rotuladores multisuperficie.

• La actividad: Pintad personajes, objetos o lugares en cada piedra. Luego, metedlas en una bolsa, sacad tres al azar y ¡tenéis que inventar un cuento que incluya esos tres elementos!

3. Origami para principiantes

No hace falta ser un experto. Con unos papeles de colores de nuestra sección de manualidades y un par de tutoriales básicos, podéis llenar la casa de aviones, barcos o perritos de papel.

• Beneficio: Mejora la psicomotricidad fina y la paciencia (¡a veces mucha!).

4. Marcapáginas personalizados

¿Quieres que lean más? Haz que el libro sea "suyo".

• Material: Cartulina, pegatinas, purpurina y cintas.

• Idea: Haced marcapáginas con las manos pintadas o con sus personajes favoritos. Es el regalo perfecto para los abuelos.

5. El rincón de lectura "Secreto"

No es una manualidad, pero es el mejor plan. Montad un fuerte con mantas y cojines, coged una linterna y elegid un libro de nuestra sección infantil. Leer a oscuras con una linterna hace que cualquier historia sea diez veces más emocionante.

At El estudiante, we believe creativity is a muscle that needs training. Here are 5 ideas to turn your living room into an art workshop using very simple materials.

1. The "Never-Ending Story"

• Material: A large piece of poster board or several sheets of paper taped together.

• The Activity: Start by drawing a character on one end. Your child then draws what happens next, and so on. By the end of the day, you’ll have a mural with a story created by the whole family.

2. Storytelling Stones

• Material: Smooth stones (or cardboard circles), tempera paint, or multi-surface markers.

• The Activity: Paint characters, objects, or places on each stone. Put them in a bag, pull out three at random, and you have to invent a story that includes those three elements!

3. Origami for Beginners

You don’t need to be an expert. With some colored paper from our craft section and a few basic tutorials, you can fill the house with paper planes, boats, or puppies.

• Benefit: It improves fine motor skills and patience (sometimes a lot of it!).

4. Personalized Bookmarks

Want them to read more? Make the book feel like "theirs."

• Material: Cardstock, stickers, glitter, and ribbons.

• Idea: Create bookmarks featuring painted handprints or their favorite characters. It’s the perfect gift for grandparents!

5. The "Secret" Reading Nook

This isn't exactly a craft, but it’s the best plan. Build a fort using blankets and pillows, grab a flashlight, and pick a book from our children's section. Reading in the dark with a flashlight makes any story ten times more exciting.
